Throw a stone in any direction in American society, and it seems you hit a new diet "program." Usually these so called proven systems are quick-fix fads. We all can relate to the yo-yo dieting pattern: restrict your calories somehow for three weeks, and yes, you will lose weight...but as soon as you go back to your normal lifestyle, the weight piles right back on.

Losing weight is the wrong approach.

Rather than lose weight, you need to gain a new lifestyle: habits, desires, routines, etc. Diet and exercise are only two pieces of the metabolism puzzle.
