First Visit

Brief Paperwork

After you receive a warm welcome as a new patient from our front desk assistant, Anna, you'll receive some brief paperwork to fill out. The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself and your condition. Dr. Brist may ask you to complete more detailed questionairres at a later visit to help him fine-tune your treatment plan.

History and Examination

In order to determine what your actual problem is, the doctor and/or his assistants will ask you various questions related to your condition. Next, a number of specialized tests will be performed to determine which tissues are affected and to what extent. If you have chosen to take advantage of our Biological Terrain testing, functional laboratory tests will be conducted in our in-house laboratory. These tests use your urine, blood, and saliva to give Dr. Brist important information about your health, including toxicity levels, ability to absorb nutrients, pH status, adrenal stress, oxidation levels, and hidden infections.

X-ray Studies

Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays to either rule out more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you.

Consultation

Following your examination and testing, you will have a brief consultation with Dr. Brist to discuss your health-related problems and concerns, as well as potential treatment options.

Same Day Treatment

In most cases, you'll receive a treatment the same day as your chiropractic exam. This may include spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapies, EB cellular cleanse, cold laser therapy, and nutritional supplementation.

Home Instructions

Prior to leaving, patients will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice application instructions; avoidance of certain activities, positions, or foods; use of a multipolar magnet; and nutritional supplements.

Schedule Your Next Appointment

Anna will help you find a convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit. Generally speaking, patients are seen within 1-2 days and are provided with a complete report of findings. Treatment options for your condition will also be discussed during this time. One of Dr. Brist's assistants will also sit down with you to go over our financial policy and present ways for you to save money on your care at our wellness center.
